Editing

I will happily complete a sample edit or proofread (1,500 words or less) to make sure we are a good fit and that you like my particular editing style. This sample should typically be pulled from the middle of the book to ensure we can judge the full scope of work needed, but earlier in the book will also be accepted.
I require a $150 nonrefundable deposit to hold your editing date on my calendar. For projects under 20,000 words, the deposit decreases to $75. This deposit goes toward your final invoice, but it is forfeited if you cancel.
An invoice for your remaining balance will be sent via Wave Invoicing when I begin work on your manuscript. Your balance must be paid in full before the edited version is sent back to you unless otherwise agreed upon.
If a payment plan is needed, please state that when booking. All payment plans must be worked out prior to the final invoice being sent when work begins.
If you need to reschedule your services, please contact me as soon as possible! I try to flexible and will do my absolute best to accommodate you, but I cannot guarantee you a spot if my calendar is booked.
Please email your manuscript in Microsoft Word format the morning of (or the night before) our agreed-upon start date. Font, size, and paragraph spacing (single or double) does not matter.
